Remedies under the Fair Trading Act
Similar remedies to those under the Trade Practices Act are available under the Fair Trading Act including:
- injunctions (s. 149 and 150);
- damages (s. 159);
- a wide range of orders such as changing the terms of a contract (s. 158); and
- declarations, such as a debt is, or is not, owing (s. 108).
