The Fair Trading Act mirrors some parts of the Trade Practices Act. However, unlike the Trade Practices Act, the provisions are not limited to companies. For example, misleading conduct by a business that was not a corporation would be covered and, in some cases, the Fair Trading Act will regulate a contract between two individuals.
