Impounding means the seizure of trespassing livestock by person authorised under the Impounding of Livestock Act 1994 Act (Vic). For the purpose of the act, livestock means 'any animal, including a bird, of any species used in connection with primary production, or kept for recreational purposes, other than a dog or cat '.
