Below is a list of website pages containing directories of legal advice and information services, rural counselling and community services and peak primary industry organisations.

Legal Advice and Information - Directories

The Law Institute of Victoria is the state body representing Victorian Lawyers. LIV has several directories listing lawyers by area of law and location. They also have an list of lawyers specializing in particular fields of law who have gained LIV accreditation.

Victoria Legal Aid is a state service which provides legal advice from Offices around Victoria. You need to meet an eligibility criteria and they will only assist with certain matters. A Telephone Information Service is also available. VLA also has an extensive list of free publications and run workshops and seminars for the general public.

Community Legal Centres (CLC's) are independent, non-profit organisations which provide referral, free advice and assistance across a range of legal issues. You can view the contact details of the seven CLC's in regional Victoria.

Community, Welfare, Counselling and Support Services - Directories

Infoxchange - Service Seekers, promoted as Australia's most extensive directory of community support services, providing access to over 100,000 health, welfare and community service records.

The Child Support Agency is Commonwealth Department providing a directory of information on organisations in the community, provide an extensive list of services assisting parents on a wide range of family related issues. This is a detailed directory of Family, Indigenous, Women’s and Welfare services in all states.

Lifeline – Just look is a comprehensive online national database of low cost or free health and community services offered throughout Australia.

Community .gov.au is administered by the Australian Federal Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. The Community Portal provides information on a broad range of organisations and services. Not the easiest directory to use if you are looking for services by location but includes a broad range of service types.

Victoria Online – Community Directories is a Victorian Government website providing information on support services and community organisations in Victoria. The Community Directories are largely a list of organisations and services developed by local government.

Industry Services - Directories

Rural Industry Research and Development Corporation is the principle Commonwealth Government body which funds rural research initiatives.

ABC Rural provides a links page to Agriculture and primary industry related services.

Farmers Info Australia is a commercial site providing a list of relevant national and state industry organisation. Click on ‘organisations' on their menu bar to find a list of relevant rural industry organisations.

InFarmation is a commercial site providing a list of relevant industry organisation websites.
