Legal Advice and Information - Directories The Law Institute of Victoria is the state body representing Victorian Lawyers. LIV has several directories listing lawyers by area of law and location. They also have an list of lawyers specializing in particular fields of law who have gained LIV accreditation. Victoria Legal Aid is a state service which provides legal advice from offices around Victoria. You need to meet an eligibility criteria and they will only assist with certain matters. A telephone information service is also available. VLA also has an extensive list of free publications and run workshops and seminars for the general public. Community Legal Centres (CLC's) are independent, non-profit organisations which provide referral, free advice and assistance across a range of legal issues. Lifeline Just Look is a comprehensive online national database of low cost or free health and community services offered throughout Australia. Victoria Online Community Directories is a Victorian Government website providing information on support services and community organisations in Victoria. The Community Directories are largely a list of organisations and services developed by local government. Farmer Health is the website for the National Centre for Farmer Health (NCFH), which provides national leadership to improve the health, safety and well-being of farm men and women, farm workers, their families and communities across Australia.
